Clarify
We begin with your ministry, audiences, current challenges, priorities, and long-term goals. Together, we identify what the website needs to accomplish and what is currently getting in the way.
I help churches, ministries, and mission-minded organizations replace slow, confusing, and outdated websites with clear, effective WordPress platforms built for ministry and supported for the long term.
Strategy, design, development, SEO, and ongoing care—led personally by Gene Whitehead.
Founder-Led Web Strategy
I’m Gene Whitehead, an independent WordPress developer and SEO specialist with more than ten years of experience building, improving, and maintaining websites for ministries, churches, organizations, and small businesses.
My background in ministry and missions gives me a practical understanding of how faith-based organizations communicate, serve people, manage content, and depend on websites that staff and volunteers can actually use.
Instead of passing your project from a salesperson to an account manager and then to a developer, you work directly with the person responsible for the strategy, design, development, SEO, technical problem-solving, and ongoing care.
Experience That Supports the Work
A strong website requires more than attractive design. It takes clear strategy, dependable development, search knowledge, technical problem-solving, and someone who understands how churches and ministries actually operate.
Building, improving, and maintaining WordPress websites since 2015.
Completed the University of California, Davis Search Engine Optimization Specialization through Coursera.
HTML, CSS, WordPress, custom features, performance improvement, and advanced builder environments.
Years of ministry and missions experience inform how I approach communication, stewardship, and long-term support.
What the Work Should Accomplish
Every recommendation should serve a practical purpose—helping people find what they need, making the website easier for your team to manage, and strengthening the organization’s digital presence over time.
Stronger structure, content, and technical SEO foundations.
Improved loading, technical stability, and mobile usability.
More intuitive navigation, calls to action, and content flow.
Ongoing maintenance, improvements, and technical support.
A Clear, Collaborative Process
You do not need to arrive with every answer. I guide the project from initial strategy through launch, then remain available to maintain, improve, and support the website over time.
We begin with your ministry, audiences, current challenges, priorities, and long-term goals. Together, we identify what the website needs to accomplish and what is currently getting in the way.
I organize the site structure, visitor pathways, content priorities, technical requirements, search strategy, and project scope before development begins.
I design and develop the WordPress website with clear navigation, responsive layouts, strong performance, practical content management, and foundational SEO built into the project.
Before launch, I test the website across devices, review forms and functionality, prepare redirects where needed, and help your team understand how to manage the finished site.
After launch, I can continue maintaining the website, solving technical problems, improving performance, updating content, and strengthening search visibility.
You work directly with Gene from the first conversation through strategy, development, launch, and ongoing support. There is no sales handoff and no account-manager layer.
